The Embassy organized a seminar called Czech Business Afternoon

On April 16, on its premises, the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Beijing organized a seminar called Czech Business Afternoon, which aimed to familiarize the audience with possibilities of cooperation with various organizations operating on the Chinese market and also with the risks that this market can bring.
 

The event was attended by approximately 50 people, mainly representatives of Czech companies, but also members of the delegation of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic and the Confederation of Industry of the Czech Republic, for whom the director general of the department of non-European countries, Mr. Richard Hlavatý, respectively the vice president, Mr. František Chaloupecký, delivered a speech.

The speeches were followed by presentations by three organizations focusing on trade with China. Ms. Violet Wang from the legal department of the China Council for Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) was the first to present. In her presentation, she presented the activities of her department, the main goal of which is assistance in commercial disputes and their mediation. The second presenter was Mr. Liam Jia, Head of the EU SME Center in Beijing. The organization he represents maps the Chinese market and helps small and medium-sized enterprises to enter it. The third and last speaker was Mr. Stefan Bernhart, vice president of the EU Chamber of Commerce in China, on the topic of the current situation of EU companies on the Chinese market. The last point of the program was the networking of the participants of the event.
