The Czech Republic declared December 23, 2023, as a Day of national mourning

To honor the victims of the mass shooting in Prague, the Government of the Czech Republic has declared December 23, 2023, as a Day of national mourning.

According to the last information by the Czech Police, 14 people were killed and 25 wounded during the shooting in the building of the Charles University in Prague. The gunman is dead and represents no other danger to citizens and tourists in Prague.

The Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Hong Kong thanks the Czech compatriots, members of the diplomatic community and the people of Hong Kong for expressing their support and sympathies.
